On a Sunday morning they make you feel welcome when you go to walk your dogs and give them their weekly treats. The owners and staff are always friendly and the Wiley family are always on hand to have a chat. At christmas time they open the doors to their family home for a christmas buffet with music in the background for entertainment, even the dogs get a mince pie each for christmas.

We have now had many dogs withe Martyn and The Gable Kennels and are proud to be here. The kennels have made many modernising improvements over the years making it one of the best kennels in the area. It has a new treatment room, the paddocks have all been updated and are clean. There are several new heated kennel blocks, this makes it a 5* hotel for greyhounds. The greyhounds are kept in a clean healthy environment with a good healthy balanced mean each day, that has fresh ingredients. They also have the use of a great gallop and swimming pool. The dogs can often be seen lazing around in the sun.

The Gable kennels also have retired dogs that either get homed or stay in this friendly atmosphere and like the younger dogs they also get their sunday walks and treats, no dog is left out. All of the dogs are groomed well and have good healthy clean teeth. Its nice to know that your dog is being treated with love and kindness by a good trainer and his excellent staff.

The Gable Kennels is also an established breedings kennels with quite a few dogs having pups in a relaxing birthing suite in the main kennels and then being moved with their pups into the bigger fields to enjoy open spaces in there formative months.

Martyn and his staff are always quite happy and proud to show you around the kennels. If you are interested in buying a pup, dog or bitch you will enjoy coming to see how these great kennels are run.

After buying a pup from my last trainer and then finding out he was giving up training greyhounds, I was not happy. My pups litter was sold to Martyn Wiley and therefor i had to go where my pup went. My puppy 'Bluetown princess' has now retired after many years of racing and yes im still with Martyn and The Gable Kennels. Looking back on it now I thank my last trainer because being at these kennels has been one of the best moves i have ever made.

I'm often being told how 'lucky' I am owning such good greyhounds. Of course I'm fortunate, but my 'luck' started

when I met Martyn Wiley at the Gable Kennels! Since then  I've enjoyed not only considerable success, but a super

journey with my hobby. What a great set up with brilliant, caring Staff and the finest facilities for the dogs. A particular mention must go to head

kennel hand Abbie who has spent many a cold wet night looking after my superstar and then facing another long, late journey home.

All these efforts are so appreciated, and summed up by me, when giving an interview to a Greyhound journalist recently, and asked 'what advice

would you give to anyone wanting to buy a greyhound?' My answer 'Easy........phone Martyn Wiley!!'

Thanks for everything.
